Wyke Sixth Form College, 2008-present

Liaison Manager and A level Media Teacher at Wyke Sixth Form College, Kingston-upon-Hull. Within this role I am responsible for coordinating the "public face" of Wyke to local schools in Hull and the East Riding of Yorkshire.

My marketing responsibilities include the development of the colleges online, print and mobile presence.

The liaison role is shared between teaching AS/A Level Media Studies to approximately 170 sixth form students. Since joining the department I have established the subjects Moodle presence and ran an overseas visit to New York. Currently I deliver units on "Foundation Portfolio", "The Music Industry", "Contemporary Media Regulation" and "Advanced Portfolio".

External Examiner for the BA(Hons) New Media awards at Swansea Metropolitan University, 2008-2011

My role included re-validiation of the programme, as well as submitting an annual report, moderating unit grades and attending exam boards.

Chief External Examiner for the BSc(Hons) Media awards at the University of Staffordshire, 2003-2008

The awards included music technology, film production technology and simulation and virtual reality, as well as awards combining subjects from these areas.

Programme leader for the creative technology undergraduate awards - BSc(Hons) Audio Technology, BSc (Hons) Media Technology, BSc Multmedia Technology and BSc (Hons) Web Technology. Academic management of the creative technology curriculum and marketing for the Department.

Development of employer links and industrial liaison. Continued professional development.

My teaching responsibilities included lecturing and assessing in a broad range of subjects that include project management, dissertation supervision, video production, animation, 3D modelling, image manipulation and multimedia production to undergraduate students on creative technology and computing awards.
